Diaconal Ordination of Tom Hrywna

On Saturday, March 28, 2015 at St. Demetrius Ukrainian Catholic Church in Toronto, Ontario, at the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy on Lazarus Saturday, Bishop John (Pazak) ordained Subdeacon Tom Hrywna to the Diaconate. Participating in this service was Very Rev. Bohdan Bilinsky (Protosyncellus) and Very Rev. John Tataryn (Pastor), plus many other clergy. Bishop Stephen (Chmilar) had unfortunately taken ill a few days before and was unable to serve at this ordination. Fr. Deacon Tom is incardinated to the Eparchy of Toronto. He will return to the seminary for the rest of this formation year and then prepare for a period of pastoral internship. Together with all the family, friends, and parishioners of St. Demtrius, we offer our heartfelt AXIOS!
