Axios! Ordination of Fr. Alex Laschuk

The entire seminary and what seemed to be a large portion of the Ottawa Ukrainian Catholic young adult population travelled to Oshawa, Ontario to St. George’s Ukrainian Catholic Parish on October 28 for the priestly ordination of Fr. Alex Laschuk. He was ordained by Vladyka Stefan or Toronto. Fr. Alex currently works for Vladyka Stefan in the chancery office and also at the Archdiocese of Toronto Marriage Tribunal. He is also a doctoral candidate in Canon Law at Saint Paul University in Ottawa. He married his wife, Olenka, in October 2011. Pictured above is Fr. Alex giving his homily at St. Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church in St. Catharines, Ontario on Sunday, November 4, 2012. Fr. Alex will serve Divine Liturgy at Holy Cross Eastern Catholic Chaplaincy at the University of Ottawa on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at the Sts. Joachim and Anna Chapel of the Sheptytsky Institute in Laframboise Hall at Saint Paul University.
