I Am Third

“I Am Third” is a phrase that is posted in the office of our rector, Fr. Michael. It means that the Lord is first, others and second, and, well, I am third. It was coined by the foundress of the Madonna House Apostolate in Combermere, Ontario – the Servant of God, Catherine Doherty. The entire seminary community had a chance to visit with Madonna House on October 6-7, 2012.

The community was extremely warm and welcoming. Fr. Paul M. and Veronica D. were our ‘tour guides’ for the weekend. We got a good perspective on their life of simplicity that proclaims loudly the Good News. We were especially delighted that this community of bi-ritual – mostly Latin catholic, but also Byzantine Catholic. Our rector, Fr. Michael, was the main celebrant and homilist at the Sunday Divine Liturgy.
